Sherrill-Laddy M. Hubbard, age 87, of Allen Street passed away Wednesday February 4, 2025 at Wynn Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born on November 22, 1937 in Oneida, New York, a son of the late Walter C. and Mary (Mead) Hubbard. He was a graduate of St. Patrick's Elementary School and Oneida High School. Laddy went on to serve with The National Guard for nine years. On October 2, 1965 Laddy and Roseann M. Altamuro were united in marriage at St. Joseph's Church of Oneida and have shared this sacred vow for over 59 years together.

Prior to his retirement, Laddy was employed as foreman of the paint department at Colgate University, manager of the circulation department at Oneida Daily Dispatch, and circulation manager of the Syracuse Newspapers of the Eastern Division of Central New York. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, bowling, and tending to his flower and vegetable gardens. Laddy was happiest when he was with his family and loved spending winters for the last twenty years with his wife in Dunedin, Florida.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Roseann M. Hubbard, two sons and two daughters-in-laws, Patrick and Eileen Hubbard of Sherrill and James and Leanne Hubbard of Moorestown, New Jersey. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Casey Beam, Chelsea Barbano, Zachary Hubbard, and Kennedy Hubbard and two great-grandchildren, Emerson and Collins Beam.

Laddy was predeceased by his parents and brother Bud Hubbard.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, February 10, 2025 from 5:00-8:00pm at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 464 Sherrill Rd, Sherrill, NY. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 10:00 am at Spirit of Hope, St. Helena's Church, 204 Primo Ave., Sherrill, NY. A spring burial will be held at St. Helena's Cemetery, Oneida, NY.
