
Obituary of Virginia A. Stoker

Sherrill-Virginia (Ginny) A. Stoker, age 85, of Pexton Street passed away peacefully Saturday evening April 12, 2025 in Community General Hospital in Syracuse, NY.
She was born on July 10, 1939 in Wellsboro, PA, a daughter of the late Stephen and Ruth (Franklin) Baulf and a VVS High School graduate.
Virginia was first married to James M. Duell and in 1997 Virginia was united in marriage with James E. Stoker in Sherrill, New York and the couple has shared the last twenty-eight years together.
Prior to her retirement in 1995 Virginia was employed as a control officer with Griffis Air Force Base with over thirty-five years of service.
In her spare times she enjoyed word search books, playing solitaire on the computer and spending time with all her family. Virginia was a life member of the Sherrill American Legion Post 230 Auxiliary and served as a past president.
Surviving is her husband James E. Stoker of Sherrill, her three children, twins; Michael Duell of Clinton, and Debb Farr of Ilion, and her youngest Theresa (Patrick) Kinsella. Her grandchildren, Tyler Kinsella, Cody Kinsella, Faith (Ryan) Hoskey, Kenny (Cassandra) Race, Christina Race, Joshua (Angela) Duell, Michael (Lanora) Duell and Sean Duell, stepsons; Daniel Stoker and Dean Stoker, several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Ginny was predeceased by her parents, sister Carol Forbes and brother Steven Baulf; grandchildren, Lance Frank and Dillon Kinsella.
In keeping with Virginia's wishes all services will be private and at the family's convenience. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, 1776 Middle Road Oneida, New York. Arrangements are with the Malecki Funeral Home of Sherrill. Online condolences may be sent to maleckifuneralhome.com
