Steven C. Smith, 75 of Sherrill, NY passed away on May18, 2025.  Born December 10, 1949, in Rome to the late Charles and Jean Smith.

 Following high school graduation, Steven enlisted in the Army, including 1 1/2 years in Vietnam, and served until honorably discharged.  Upon his return home, he began his career at the Oneida Limited Knife Plant where he was employed for 36 years.  After its closure, Steven began working for Turning Stone Casino until his retirement.

 Steven married Susan on November 26, 1988.  Throughout their 36-year marriage, they enjoyed travelling, bowling, and playing bocce together.  They also shared a passion for woodworking. Steven loved being around friends and family and enjoyed his time at hunting camp.

 Steven was a proud member of American Legion Post 230, Drum and Bugle corps, and area softball leagues.

 Steven is survived by his wife Susan Smith, stepchildren Eric (Jamie) Jones, Sara (Scott) Bunn. Grandchildren Adrianna, Casey, Sophie, Tyler, Cameron, and Christian.  3 sisters, Nancy (Dick), Cathy, Cindy (David), and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

 Steven was a loving husband and a terrific friend to all who knew him.  He will be deeply missed.

 Family and friends are invited to call on Friday May 23, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 464 Sherrill Rd., Sherrill, NY.
