Paul H. Fazekas age 83, of Verona passed away on October 18, 2025. Paul was born in Turin, NY on November 14, 1941 to the late Paul and Alice (Capron) Fazekas. On August 7, 1965 he entered into marriage to Rose M. Willson and enjoyed 60 years of marriage.
Paul worked on a farm and drove a milk truck for Jim Zabele; Union Pen Shop - Winsted Connecticut; Gold Pack in Oneida; and retired from Oneida Limited - in the Auto Buff Dept. after 35 years.
Paul is survived by his loving wife Rose; son and daughter-in-law Joseph & Rochelle Fazekas of Lee Center; grandchildren Kelsey and her husband Benjamin Nieto of Rome, Nicole and her husband Trevor Marsh of Lee Center; Charles (Andy) Coffin of Texas. His great grandchildren: Lily, Emma, Noah and Leah Nieto, Liana and Lenox Marsh; Damian Coffin; His siblings: Patricia Filey; Robert Fazekas and his wife Linda Fazekas, and Alan Fazekas.
He was predeceased by his sister: Shirley Heilig.
He enjoyed working in his yard, hunting, fishing and playing cards, especially pitch. He was also a Member of the NRA and a past member of the Verona Fire Dept.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday October 22, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon, NY. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family will gather at the Corner Diner, 57 E. State Street, Sherrill, NY after the services. Burial will be Thursday October 23, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in Verona Cemetery, E. Main Street, Verona, NY.
