Mrs. Mildred "Audrey" McCorduck-Stonger, 97, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, at the Willow Assisted Living community in Macungie, Pennsylvania. Born on March 8, 1928, in Utica, New York, she lived a long and full life marked by resilience, warmth, faith and a deep appreciation for the joys of everyday living.
Throughout her life, Audrey embraced the world with kindness, curiosity, and a sense of humor that endeared her to those around her. She found joy in music and movement, often turning to exercise as a source of vitality and well-being. A lifelong learner, she delighted in the written word and scripture and the lessons they each brought. She loved to travel, always journaling her experiences in detail. Her involvement with the Red Hat Ladies reflected her vibrant spirit and love of community.
Audrey was preceded in death by her two husbands, George E. McCorduck the love of her life, and father of their children, and Robert J. Stonger with whom she spent years exploring towns, buying antiques and visiting with friends. She also mourned the loss of her children Bonnie (Lee) Wallace, Richard (Louise) McCorduck, and Debbie Pawlikowski, step-son Paul Stonger, as well as her grandson Timothy R. McCorduck.
She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Lynn Wallace (Mike Wasiewicz), Lisa Wallace-Larkin (Jon), Kerry McCorduck, Bradley Pawlikowski (Julie), Brian Pawlikowski, Abi Petrie, and Adam Pawlikowski. Audrey, called GG, was adored by her eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her step-daughter Lisa Grenier.
Audrey's legacy lives on through those who knew and loved her. May her memory bring comfort and inspiration to all whose lives she touched. A memorial celebration of Audrey's life will be held at a time to be announced at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 4897 Old Oneida Road, Verona, NY with Reverend Katie Yahns presiding. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Wanderers Rest in Canastota.
