Sherrill- Jeanette C. McQuade-Tudman a longtime Sherrill resident passed away peacefully early Sunday evening December 7, 2025 in Rome Health Center after a brief illness at the age of 98.
She was born in Lakewood, New Jersey a twin daughter of the late Earl W. and Ethel A. (Peck) Crandall. Jeanette graduated from New Berlin Central School and attended Fredonia State College.
She was married to Leonard McQuade who predeceased her and later was united in marriage to Kenneth Tudman who also predeceased her.
Prior to her retirement in 1981 Jeanette was employed in the offices of the Oneida Limited Silversmiths.
In her spare times she enjoyed music, playing piano in her home and spending time with her twin sister Annette. Her civic minded activities included being a founder of the Madison-Oneida Cystic Fibrosis Association and was a former Board member at Noyes Manor.
Surviving are her two children and their spouses, Gari and Marlene McQuade of Verona and Shelli and Tom Houck of Sherrill, her grandchildren, Crystal, Adrienne, Melanie, Michael and David; and several great-grandchildren. Jeanette was predeceased by her parents, spouses, twin sister Annette E. Warner and great-granddaughter Riley Lehner.
In keeping with Jeanette's wishes all funeral services will be private for the family. Spring burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Middle Road, Oneida, NY. Arrangements are with the Malecki Funeral Home of Vernon. Online condolences may be sent to maleckifuneralhome.com
