I met Doug while working in Texas 5 years ago. Since then I've had the fortune to continue working with him on every single project up until now. For me and many others, Doug was a savant, a guru, a genius. Whether it came to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, he was exceptional, and you always came to him first for his opinion. He was kind-hearted too, and generous with his knowledge. This is a great loss to anyone considered family, friend, and colleague, as Doug's influence was far reaching and impactful. I want to express my gratitude in having met Doug, although at the time I wasn't able to appreciate it. May everyone affected find respite, and that Doug, his wife, and his dogs all find peace wherever they are. He will be sorely missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Doug in New York for a year. Doug was one of the most unique individuals I’ve met on a job. He was not only the smartest man on the job, he was also the kindest. He was quite the impressive individual and he taught me a great deal in the short time we knew each other. I only wish we had more time. My condolences to his family and friends. With the impact he was able to leave on me in such a short amount of time, I can only imagine the weight of this loss for those close to him. May he rest in peace.
