Obituary of Neal R. Deecher

Verona-Neal R. Deecher, age 55, passed away Saturday morning January 11, 2020 in the Siegenthaler Center after a two year courageous battle with bladder cancer. He was born on August 8, 1964 in Verona, New York a son of the late William and Gloria (Fitzsimons) Deecher was a 1982 graduate of V.V.S. Central School. On May 17, 1983 Neal enlisted with the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged on August 3, 1992. He was the youngest of his nine siblings. Neal enjoyed golf, Giants football, gardening music and enjoyed spending time with his family and entertaining his friends. Prior to his illness Neal was employed as a dealer with the Turning Stone Casino. Surviving are his one son, Neal J. Deecher, daughter Lovely A. Deecher, grandson Ryan, companion, Quyle Le, his siblings and their spouses, Marcia Malsack of AZ., Bill (Darlene) Deecher of Philadelphia, Thomas Deecher of Oneida, Gloria (Kevin) Richmond of Oneida, John (Corazon)Deecher of Vernon, Joe (Cathy) Deecher of South Hadley, Mass., Michael (Carolyn) Deecher of E. Syracuse, Andy (Cecille) Deecher of Granby, Mass and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday January 14, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon, NY. Neal's funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home immediately following the calling hours with Pastor Kurt Johnson officiating.
