Munnsville-Lynn A. Curtis passed away at his home after a long courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday afternoon, May 18, 2021 with his loving wife at his side at the age of 73.
He was born on May 22, 1947 in Oneida, New York a son of the late Floyd A. and Margaret Curtis and attended the Stockbridge Valley and Morrisville Schools.
Lynn served his country with the United States Army during the Vietnam War from January 16, 1967 to January 15, 1969 when he was honorably discharged.
In 1984 Lynn and Christa J. LaGoy were united in marriage in Munnsville, New York and have shared this vow of thirty-seven years together.
Prior to his retirement in 2007 Lynn was a lineman with the IBEW Local 1249 of Cicero, NY.
He enjoyed traveling to Zephyrhills, Florida in the winters, tinkering with sporty vehicles, being outdoors and hunting.
Surviving are his loving wife Christa J. Curtis of Munnsville, two children and their spouses, Mark (Anita) Curtis of Fl. and Jenine (Mike) Sines of VA, two step sons Kevin (Charity) Cookingham of KY and Eric (Julia) Cookingham of Plymouth, NY, one brother Carl (Nancy) Curtis of Munnsville, fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Edith Endemann of Sherrill and several brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws and several nieces and nephews.
Lynn was predeceased by a son Dwayne Curtis and three brothers, Virgil, Clyde and Emerson Curtis.
Christa would like to thank Jim Lousey, sisters-in-laws, neighbors, Doctors and IEWB lineman brothers for their visits, love, prayers, help and kindness shown to the couple during this long battle.
In keeping with Lynn’s wishes there will be no calling hours or services at this time. Burial will be at a later time in Morrisville Cemetery, Morrisville, NY.
