Obituary of Barry M. Grobb

Barry M. Grobb Oxford-Barry M. Grobb, age 67, formerly of Sherrill Road and for many years a resident of the New York State Veterans' Home at Oxford passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning May 3, 2016 at the home. He was born on October 23, 1948 in Oneida, New York a son of the late Franklin G. and Wilma (Edmonds) Grobb and was a graduate of V.V.S. Central School. Barry served with the 1st Battalion of the 78th Artillery 2nd Armored Division during the Vietnam War. After returning home from the war Barry found employment as a gardener with several local landscapers. A highlight of Barry's life was attending Woodstock in 1969. Surviving are one brother Jamie Grobb of Sherrill, two cousins Allan Jones of Blossvale and Craig Jones of New Hartford, as well as many friends and the staff at the Veterans Home at Oxford. Barry was predeceased by his parents Franklin and Wilma Grobb and one brother, Franklin Grobb. In keeping with Barry's wishes private burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Oneida, New York.
