Obituary of Nancy F. Green

Nancy F. Green Vernon-Nancy F. Green, age 62, of Mitchell Road passed away unexpectedly Friday morning September 12, 2014 in the Oneida Healthcare Center with her family at her side. She was born on November 14, 1951 in Syracuse, New York daughter of the late Floyd N. and Ruth D. (Hicks) Foster and attended Stockbridge Valley Central School. On August 12, 1969 Nancy and Harry J. Green were united in marriage in Vernon at the Green Family home and the couple has shared an eternal love that started as teenagers and grew to a marriage of over forty-five years together and will last an eternity Prior to her retirement in 1990 Nancy was employed as an aide with the Rome DDSO. In her spare time she enjoyed playing computer games, board games, card games and doing anything with her grandchildren whom she adored. Surviving are her husband, Harry J. Green of Vernon, two sons and one daughter-in-law, Danny Green of Vernon and Don and Brenda Green of Verona, three grandchildren, Alyssa Collins, Kiaya and Jaden Green, one brother Robert (Samira) Foster of Utica, two sisters-in-law, Elaine (Harold) Stepp of Avon Park, FL., and Pearl Portwood of Augusta, GA, one brother-in-law, Joe (Beulah) Green of Munnsville and several nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by one brother Allen Foster and a sister-in-law Mary Amidon. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon.
