Obituary of Carol A. Leos

Carol A. Leos Verona-Carol A. Leos, age 73, of Germany Road passed away unexpectedly Tuesday evening March 28, 2017 in the Oneida Healthcare Center after being stricken ill at her home. She was born on December 24, 1943 in Rome, New York a daughter of the late Steve Sr. and Julia (Bednarski) Belvick and attended Vernon Verona Sherrill Schools. On April 10, 1976 Carol and Robert A. Leos were united in marriage in Verona, New York and have shared a loving union of nearly forty-one years together. Prior to her retirement Carol was employed with Birnie Bus as a bus monitor, a job she enjoyed very much. Carol loved to cook and make annual trips to the Sterling Renaissance Festival. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed playing the gaming machines at Vernon Downs and Turning Stone Casinos. Surviving are her beloved husband, Robert A. Leos of Verona, one son, David Belvick of Verona, three brothers, Steve “Sonny” Belvick Jr. of Boonville, Walt (Suzanne) Belvick of Ava, Tom (Jennifer) Belvick of Durhamville, one sister, Sue White of Durhamville, one sister-in-law, Sue Belvick of Sylvan Beach and several nieces and nephews. Carol was predeceased by her parents and brother, Richard Belvick. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in Verona Cemetery, Main Street, Verona with Pastor Dave Johnson officiating.
