Obituary of Alan Leroy Williamson

Alan L. Williamson Vernon Center-Alan Leroy Williamson, age 60, passed away unexpectedly Saturday afternoon, August 5, 2017, in the Oneida Healthcare Center, with his loving wife by his side after being stricken ill at home. He was born on April 16, 1957, in Oneida, New York, son of Elinor T. (Skinner) Williamson and the late Richard H. Williamson. He was a graduate of Vernon-Vernon-Sherrill High School. On May 15, 1976, Alan and Donna Henry were united in marriage in Vernon, New York, and have shared this union of over forty-one years together. Alan was a lifelong resident of Vernon Center. He attended the Vernon Center United Methodist Church. Alan leaves behind his wife, Donna Williamson of Vernon Center; one son, Alan L. Williamson Jr. and his wife, Kelly; one daughter, April Bonfardice; his three grandchildren; his mother, Elinor Williamson; his six brothers, Dick (Joyce), Thomas, Cecil, Jay, Matthew (Mary), and Eric; his one sister, Roberta (Greg) Borek; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday August 12, 2017 11:00 a.m. at the Vernon Center United Methodist Church with Pastor Wendy M. Morrison officiating. A gathering to celebrate Alan's life will be held at the Vernon Center Fire House immediately after. Please bring a dish to pass. Burial will be private and at the families convenience.
