Obituary of Anna Brindak Kustyn

Anna Brindak Kustyn Auburn– Anna Brindak Kustyn, age 99, a longtime Auburn resident passed away on early Monday morning, September 4, 2017, at the Oneida Healthcare Extended Care Facility in Oneida. Born on February 17, 1918, in McKees Rocks, PA, she was the daughter of the late Anton and Mary (Peron) Brindak. On July 16, 1938, Anna was untied in marriage to Michael Kustyn, and shared that union for fifty-six years until his passing in October 20, 1994. Anna is survived by her children, David Kustyn, Brenda Bender and Maryanne Southgate, sister-in-law, Ann Rose Kustyn; and numerous, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents, Anna is predeceased by her son, Richard Kustyn, siblings, Stella Wasilenko Marge Britt, Stephen Brindak, Walter Brindak, Nick Brindak and George Brindak . The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of Anna's Angels who cared for her at the Oneida Healthcare Extended Care Facility. In keeping with the family's wishes, there will be no public calling hours. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Main Street, Verona, NY with the Reverend Edmund Castronovo officiating.
