Obituary of Deborah A. Evans
Oneida-Deborah A."Deb" Evans, age 61, of Marble Hill Road passed away peacefully early Sunday morning May 13, 2018 at her home with her loving husband and sister at her side after a long and strong battle with cancer.
She was born on March 25, 1957 in Oneida, New York a daughter of the late Paul and Sally (Lanz) Wright and was a graduate of V.V.S. Central School.
On August 25, 1975 Deb and Ron Evans were united in marriage in Vernon Center, New York and have shared this loving bond of over forty-two years together. The couple shared a partnership in life and also in their family business; Klem's Kollision Services, an auto body repair shop in Vernon Center with the family motto was you bend em and we mend em.
For thirty-three years Deb and Ron were the Coordinators of the Youth Basket Ball teams at V.V.S. School. Deb with her big smile focused on teaching the fundamentals of basket ball and the importance of team participation, self pride, self importance and community involvement.
She loved her pets and all animals and got great joy being around any waterfalls, both near and far away. Her greatest joys came from her family and children everywhere.
Surviving are her loving husband Ron, two sons and two daughters-in-law, Ron (Trisha) Evans of Bentonville, Ark., Tom (Tiffany) Evans of Sherrill, her beloved granddaughter Ella Evans who was born on Deb's birthday, one sister Lyndy (Mark) McAllister of Oneida, one brother Fred (Gina) Wright of Vernon Center, a very special nephew Chris (Amy) Henderson of Pottstown, PA, two sisters-in-law, Judith Newman of Verona and Margaret Evans of Madison, several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday May 19, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 3:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc. 464 Sherrill Rd. Sherrill, NY. A continuation of the celebration of Deb's life will continue after the visitation at the Marble Hill Inn. Burial will be Westmoreland Cemetery, Westmoreland, NY. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Frankie Hollenbeck to defer medical cost for her battle with childhood leukemia, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
