Sherrill-Wallace G. "Wally" Glasgow, age 87, of W. Hinds Ave. passed away peacefully Sunday evening November 25, 2018 in the Oneida Healthcare Extended Care Facility. He was born on January 4, 1931 in Oneida, New York a son of the late John and "Daisy" Jane (Ferguson) Glasgow and was a graduate of Sherrill High School. Wally proudly served his country from 1949-1950 with the United States Navy. On November 20, 1954 Wally and Adaline M. Mills were united in marriage at St. Joseph's Church of Oneida and have shared that loving vow of over sixty-four years together. Wally had an extensive career with the City of Sherrill starting out working with the Sherrill DPW, he then worked as the Waste Treatment operator, codes enforcement officer, fire commissioner, served as a commissioner for the City of Sherrill and retired in 1994 as the city manager. He helped start the Pop Warner Football program in the City of Sherrill and enjoyed walking his dog, time spent with his family and a good conversation. Surviving are his wife Adaline M. Glasgow, one son Jack Glasgow, both of Sherrill, three grandchildren and many friends. Wally was predeceased by his daughter Sandy, two brothers, Jack and Bruce and one sister Jane. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 464 Sherrill Rd., Sherrill.
