Obituary of Richard C. Blair

Richard C. Blair Verona-Richard C. Blair, age 71, of Tilden Hill Road passed away peacefully Friday evening June 27, 2014 at the Abraham Hospice House of Utica. He was born on March 26, 1943 in Earlville, New York a son of the late Lynn and Clara (Beach) Blair and attended Earlville Central School. On September 7, 1963 Dick and Joan D. Murray were united in marriage in Montrose, PA and have shared a loving union of over fifty years together. Prior to his retirement Dick was employed as a hot forge operator at the knife plant of Oneida Limited Silversmiths. I n his spare time he enjoyed playing shuffle board, pool, hunting, fishing, drinking cold beverages and had a large collection of musical records. Surviving are her wife, Joan D. Blair of Verona, one son, Bobby Blair of Amsterdam, four grandchildren, Nicole, Victoria, Stephanie and Haley, one sister, Patricia (John) Griffith of Durhamville. Dick was predeceased by his parents, one sister, Connie Von Bank and one brother Lynn Blair Jr. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon. Burial will be in Verona Cemetery at a later date. The family will greet friends prior to and after the service at the funeral home.»(Do not delete this line. It does not print.
