Van- you will forever be in my heart! You and I rarely agreed in the heat of a volleyball game... the coach/ref relationship, but you know I’ve always had the utmost respect for you. I will treasure the friendship we had, the yellow and red cards that you’ve given me, and your unconditional acceptance of Bryce (my son) being a natural noise maker. I hope our Heavenly Father rewards you with a glorious and peaceful after life my friend... you are most deserving!

Healing thoughts to Van’s family, friends, and his precious friend, Wagless. I was one of his many friends in high school who was so disappointed not to see him at various reunions. We all liked him so much and greatly missed the opportunity to reconnect. It is comforting to know he had a good life with dear friends and a good dog by his side. R.I.P., Van.

Jim and family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in the loss of Van. We graduated in 1966 together and I looked so forward to seeing him at the reunions.
I also worked with Donna at MRC and she would let me know what he was up to.
Van will be sadly missed, by many.

Although I did not know Van really well, we often interacted during field hockey sectionals. It was clear to everyone that he loved the game, and he loved his role as an official. My team and I are very sorry for your loss. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.
With Deep Sympathy,
Theresa M. Leonardi
