Kenneth F. Eaton

Vernon Center-Kenneth F. Eaton, age 86 of Skinner Road and 5713 Youngs Road, Vernon, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the home of his son.

He was born on July 11, 1928 in Clinton, New York, the son of Lyman and Irene (Trost) Eaton. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1945 where he was a member of the FFA and orchestra.

Ken married Mary Jane Burke on October 29, 1949 in the Vernon Center Presbyterian Church where he was a member, trustee, Elder and in the Men's Brotherhood. He was an avid bowler and bowled into his seventies. Kenneth F. Eaton

Ken farmed on the family farm until he retired at the age of 82.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Marianne Eaton and Roger and Rosemary Eaton, one daughter Diane Thieme. Nine grandchildren, Jennifer (Derrick) Sharkey, Tristum (Jessica) Eaton , Megan (James) Gervasi, Tina (Dale) Bechtel, Becky (Bill) Colman, Trevor (Carolyn) Thieme, Justin (Amy) Eaton, Travis and Andy Eaton. Eleven great-grandchildren, Bryce, Brayden, Blake, and Brody Bechtel, Hayden and Olivia Eaton. Thomas and David Gervasi. Aidan Colman. Cora Eaton and Arabella Thieme. He is also survived by his best friends, his dog Foxie and cat Cocoa.

Ken was predeceased by, his mother, father, his wife Mary Jane, brother-in-law, Richard Burke and sister-in-law Elizabeth Bristol.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon. Mr. Eaton's funeral service will be held Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home immediately following calling hours. Spring burial will be in Vernon Center Cemetery, Vernon Center, New York.
