Ruama Ashforth Noakes

Vernon Center-On Christmas morning 2014, Ruama Ashforth Noakes, 98, passed away peacefully in Clinton, NY. Born February 24, 1916 in North Canton, CT, she was the daughter of Rev. William Joel Ashforth and Charlotte Maud Dorn Ashforth. Ruama was a graduate of Vernon High School and Syracuse University, and a member of the Parkside United Methodist Church in Vernon Center, NY. In 1999, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Dr. Harold Leslie Noakes. Ruama is survived by her children, Kristen A., Harold L., and Dean A.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be handled by the Malecki Funeral Home, Vernon, NY, details to be announced later.
