Obituary of David R. Brewster

David Robert Brewster David R. Brewster of Canastota, New York passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday January 7, 2015 at the age of 37. Dave was of the Christian faith. Dave was born in Oneida, New York on January 16, 1977 the son of David E. Brewster and Loretta R. (Carey) Uhlig. Dave was employed by Mountain Productions of Wilkes Barrie, Pennsylvania as a staging supervisor. He also worked with many smaller production companies across the Northeast. Dave is survived by his; Father, David E. Brewster and Maria Altimonte of Canastota; his mother, Loretta R. Uhlig and his maternal grandmother Loretta Carey both of Oneida and his sister Carey Hewitt. Dave was also survived by numerous; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Dave was also survived by a very dear and special friend; Jennifer Silvestri. Dave attended Oneida City Schools and SUNY Morrisville. Dave was a man that lived his entire life to the fullest in everything he did. He loved music, art, literature, creating, learning, exercising, cooking, writing poems and short stories. Dave's facebook page reveals that he was loved by hundreds of people that he met and worked with. He was a true humanitarian that brought joy and laughter wherever he went and to whomever he met. He always put the needs of others before his own. Family and friends are invited to the Malecki Funeral Home at 464 Sherrill Road in Sherrill, New York on Sunday January 18, 2015 to bid fair well to Dave. Visiting hours are from 1 pm to 4 pm with a final service at 4pm. Dave regularly donated blood to the American Red Cross. In remembrance of Dave, the family requests that you "give the gift of life" and donate to your local American Red Cross. Burial will be private and at the families convenience.
