Patricia E. Acee

Verona-Patricia E. ("Patsy Carlson") Acee, age 74, of State Rt. 31 passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning February 3, 2015 at her home.

She was born on February 24, 1940 in Penn Yan, New York. She was a daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret (Youngs) Carlson and a 1958 graduate of Penn Yan Academy.

Patty spent nearly thirty-eight years with her loving husband Abraham "Abe" Acee. They were united in marriage on February 28, 1986 in Vernon.

Patty had strong faith and enjoyed listening to music. Family meant everything to her and nothing made her happier than laughing with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Abe Acee, her three children, Penny Hale, Mark White and Lisa (Cale) Decker, her beloved grandchildren, Josh (Katie) Kinney, Amber White (Jason Alter), Justin Hale (Stephanie Livermore), Haley and Caleb Decker, her adored great-grandchildren, Alexis and Tyler Kinney and Ayden and Bryce Alter. Also surviving are her siblings and their spouses, Raymond "Butch" (Daisy) Carlson, Sandra (Raymond) Spencer, Terry (Kim) Carlson, Sheila (Tim) McMichaels, all of Penn Yan, her sister- and brother-in-law, Linda (John) Bachellor, of Latham, several nieces and nephews, and her canine companion AJ.

Patty was predeceased by her son Michael.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon. Patty's funeral service will be held on Saturday February 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 4897 Old Oneida Rd., Verona, New York with Rev. Katie Yahns officiating.
