Sherrill-Richard T. Galloway Sr., age 76, of Betsinger Road passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 in the Oneida Healthcare Center after a short illness. He was born on October 18, 1944 in Syracuse, New York a son of the late Charles Sr. and Dorothy (Kaufman) Galloway and was a graduate of the Syracuse School System. In 1961 Richard enlisted with the United States Army and proudly served his country before his honorable discharge in 1965. Prior to his retirement in 1982 Richard was employed with the International Heat and Frost Local #30. He was member of the Owls Club of Oneida and the American Legion Post 404 of Vernon and was a talented guitar player. Surviving are his six children and their spouses, Richard T. Galloway Jr., Suzie (Wren) Henson, Robert Galloway, Sally Wilson, Sandra (Robert) Galloway, Ronald (Jessica) Galloway, 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by his daughter Sharon Parkes. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service with military honors on Tuesday August 24, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Glenwood Cemetery, Rt. 46, Oneida, NY.
