Obituary of Marilyn S. Suits

Vernon - Marilyn S. Suits, age 88, formerly of Ottman Road and more recently of the Grand Nursing Facility of Utica passed away Saturday November 20, 2021. She was born on April 7, 1933 in Rome, New York a daughter of the late Francis L. and Mildred (Loomis) Staple and was a graduate of Verona High School. On November20, 1954 Marilyn and Albert "Al" L. Suits were united in marriage in the Verona United Methodist Church and shared a loving union of over fifty-eight years together until Al's death on February 13, 2013. Prior to her retirement in 1988 Marilyn was employed as a supervisor with the former Rome Developmental Center. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, crafting and entertaining her family and friends in her home. Surviving are her daughter Frances and son-in-law Dominic Piccininni of Vernon, two grandchildren, Nick Piccininni of Waterville and Angela Laskowski of Vernon, two great-grandchildren, Derek and Arianna Laskowski and one sister Jerine Leonard of San Antonio, TX. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday November 27, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the Vernon Baptist Church, 11 Mill Street, Vernon, NY.
