Elmira-John D. Covino Jr., age 50, of W. Church Street passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 3, 2021 at his home.

He was born on March 14, 1971 in Syracuse, New York a son of the late John D. and Carole A. (Noble) Covino and was a graduate of Liverpool High School and Mohawk Valley Community College.

John enjoyed quiet times by himself where he could listen to music and exercise his artistic talents drawing.

Surviving are his brother Patrick Covino and sister-in-law Corinne (Kiehl) Covino of Oneida, his two nephews Joseph Covino and Paul Covino both of Oneida and his aunt Laurel Jones of Venice, Fl.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 5652 E. Main Street, Verona, NY with its Pastor Rev. Edmund Castronovo officiating. Burial will follow in Verona Cemetery, Oneida, NY. In lieu of flowers please have Masses offered for the repose of John’s soul.
