Alan Peter St. Auburn

Sherrill- Alan Peter St. Auburn, age 80, formerly of Sherrill, Blossvale and more recently of the Oneida Healthcare Extended Care Facility passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening May 16, 2015 at the facility.

He was born on November 23, 1934 in Utica, New York. His parents were Wilfred and Ivy St. Auburn of Sherrill, New York. Peter graduated from V.V.S. High School.

He was the owner of St. Auburn's Gulf Station for several years then worked for Oneida Limited.

Peter liked N.A.S.C.A.R., the Boston Red Sox and hockey.

He loved his family.

Peter is survived by his wife, Delores, of Oneida, daughter Cindy and husband Ray Herrick of Durhamville, granddaughter, Vicky and husband Greg Gatto of Sylvan Beach, great granddaughter Trissa, granddaughter Karen and husband Dan Dudek of Buffalo, great-granddaughter Eva and great-grandson Samuel, grandson Brian and wife Jennifer Herrick of Florida, great-grandsons, Justin, Kaleb and Jayson, grandson Todd Hitchings and wife Andrea, great grandchildren Todd Jr., Jacob and Alexis.

Pete was predeceased by his parents and son Tommy Hitchings.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Malecki funeral Home Inc., 464 Sherrill Rd., Sherrill, New York. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home immediately following calling hours. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Oneida, New York.
