Obituary of Gary J. Cadden

ONEIDA - Gary J. Cadden, age 73 of Circle Drive, passed away on Monday morning, June 27, 2022, in the Oneida Health Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
 He was born on April 7, 1949 in Utica, NY a son of the late James and Helen (Stedman) Cadden. Gary was a graduate of Chadwick's High School and received his Associate's Degree from MVCC in Business Management.
 In 1968, Gary enlisted with the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1972.
On October 20, 1979, in Chadwick's St. Anthony's Church, Gary and Bonnie Brigham were united in marriage and have shared that vow of nearly forty-three years together.
 Gary was employed with Oneida Limited for many years. Due to his love of being sociable, he chose to work at Price Chopper after his retirement.
 Gary enjoyed spending time with his family. He was also a life member of the VFW.
Surviving are his wife Bonnie of Oneida, one daughter Heather of East Amherst, NY, two brothers Thomas (Barbara) Cadden of Jacksonville, FL and Donald Cadden of Hawthorne, FL as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
 The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Vanderhoof and the 4th floor nurses at the Oneida Health Hospital for their kindness during his stay at the facility. Thank you also to our wonderful neighbors who have helped him during this difficult time.
 Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 10:30am to 11:30am at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon, NY. Service will immediately follow at 11:30am. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Clayville, NY. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society. Masks are requested to be worn during visitation and service.
