Obituary of MSGT David G. Teepell USAF Ret.

Oneida- MSGT David G. Teepell USAF Ret., age 66, of Fox Road passed away early Saturday afternoon, August 27, 2022 in Rochester's Strong Memorial Hospital with his family at his side after an extended illness.

He was born on November 13, 1955 in Syracuse, New York a son of the late George H. and Marjorie (Worden) Teepell and was a graduate of Vernon Verona Sherrill Schools

On June 29, 1977 David enlisted with the United State Air Force and for the first three years he served as a cook and for the next seventeen years served as a firefighter identifying hazardous munitions and hazardous material and was honorably discharged on July 31, 1997.

After retiring from the Air Force David worked several jobs as a hotel guest service agent and customer service agent at Lowes Home Improvements. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and tending to his vegetable gardens.

Surviving are his two children, Jeffery Teepell and Tabatha Teepell both of San Antonio, TX, one sister, Sandra Friebel of Waterville and two step children, Christopher Carroll of MA and Lorraine McLaughlin of TN as well as several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with David's wishes there will be no services locally. Funeral services with military honors will be in Bath National Cemetery, Bath, NY on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 11:00 a.m..
