Obituary of Chris-Anne Bowers

Sherrill-Chris-Anne Bowers, age 61, passed away peacefully early Monday afternoon August 29, 2022 at her home on Noto Drive surrounded by the love and support of her family and close friends. She was born on October 3, 1960 in Syracuse New York a daughter of the late Robert and Lynne Carey and was raised in the Syracuse area. After graduation from high school Chris-Anne received her associate's degree in business administration for Pima College of Tucson Arizona. She spent her working career in accounting for over twenty-five years. On June 27, 1992 Chris-Anne and John T. Bowers were united in marriage in Lakeland, New York and have shared that sacred vow of over thirty years together. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, swimming, spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband, John T. Bowers, her two children and their spouses, Katelyn (Sean) Ancker, and Bud (Cassandra) Bowers, her grandchildren, Madelyn and Levi Ancker who meant the world to her, two sisters, Beth-Anne (David) Spencer and Jennifer Lynne Carey; and sister-in-law Diane Shuler. She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Lynne Carey and sister Molly Marie Carey. Chris wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to Cassie, Janet, Marylynn, Rich and Elaine and her neighbors and her special friend group-you know who you are. Chris wanted to extend her gratitude for the prayers, support and donations throughout her battle. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday September 1, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc. 464 Sherrill Rd., Sherrill, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 2, 2022 at St. Helena's Church, 210 Primo Ave., Sherrill, NY with Pastor Christopher Ballard celebrant.
