Obituary of Roxanne L. Surprenant

Vernon-Roxanne L. Surprenant, age 66, of State Rt. 26 passed away peacefully early Sunday afternoon, September 25, 2022 at her home surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on October 7, 1955 in Rome, New York, a daughter of the late Raymond and Joan (Dausman) Skinner and was a graduate of the Camden School System. On November 9, 1974, Roxanne and Michael G. Surprenant were united in marriage at the Catholic Church of St. John the Baptist of Rome and have shared that sacred vow of nearly forty-eight years together. Prior to her retirement in 2015, Roxanne was employed as a sales representative with Joann Fabric and Crafts of New Hartford. She enjoyed crafting, including knitting, sewing and quilting. She loved all animals, especially her dog, Luna. Roxanne's most precious times were spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are her husband Michael G. Surprenant of Vernon, one son, Michael P. (Kelly) Surprenant of Verona, one daughter, Carrie (Tim) Sears of Durhamville, five grandchildren, Haley, Molly, Eric, Claire and Courtney, two great-grandchildren, Colton and Liam, one brother, Daniel (Debbie) Skinner of Vernon, one sister, Sandy (Ed) Coughlin of Camden and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday September 30, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday October 1, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 4352 Peterboro Street, Vernon, NY with Rev. Nathan Brooks celebrant.
