Obituary of Wayne F. Houck

Clinton-Wayne F. Houck, age 71, of Barbara Ave. passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon October 19, 2022 in the Abraham House of Rome with his loving family at his side.

  He was born on February 19, 1951 in Rome, New York a son of the late Henry O. Houck II and Shirley Snook, was a graduate of the Oneida Schools and a devoted member to Crosspoint Church.

  On September 6, 1981 Wayne and Pamela Purdy were united in marriage in Syracuse, New York and have shared that vow of over forty-one years together.

   Prior to his retirement Wayne was employed as the maintenance superintendent of Parkedge Townhouses of Utica.

  In his spare time Wayne enjoyed fishing and golf.

  Surviving are his wife Pamela Houck of Clinton, daughter, Danielle Houck of Plattsburgh, sister, Joyce Reed of Oneida, brother-in-law Steven (Deirdre) Purdy of Canastota, sister-in-law Dixie (Bruce) Sanspree and brother-in-law Ian Purdy of Winston-Salem, NC, nephew Jacob Purdy of Canastota, and nephew Finn Purdy of Winston-Salem, NC.

  Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 11:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 464 Sherrill Rd., Sherrill, NY. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home, Sherrill with Pastor Sam Macri officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery, 1776 Middle Road, Oneida, NY.
