Larry M. Stevens Vernon-Larry M. Stevens, age 66, of Copper Street passed away Friday, June 5, 2015 in University Hospital with his loving family at his side. He was born in Rome, New York on February 7, 1949 to the late Lyle and Ethyl Stevens of Vernon. Larry was of the Methodist faith. He attended Vernon Schools and V.V.S. High School. Larry enlisted in the Army shortly after high school and was stationed in Germany. He was employed as a truck driver for Eastern Crown Inc. in Vernon retiring after many years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Larry is survived by his lifetime companion Sharron Rood, seven sisters, Kate Robinson of Cali., Charyl Warner of Colo., Jann Stevens of Ill., Carolyn House, Ginny Stevens and Andrea DeBarr all of Oneida and Marsha Sreca of Vernon, two brothers, Ken Stevens of AR. and Lyle Stevens of Colo. and several nieces and nephews Larry was predeceased by his parents, four sisters and seven brothers. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon. Larry's funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. immediately following calling hours at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Oneida.
