Obituary of Josephine W. Cable

Josephine (Bibik) Cable Oneida-Josephine (Bibik) Cable, age 93, formerly of The Towers and more recently of the Oneida Healthcare extended Care Facility passed away Thursday afternoon June 11, 2015 in the facility with her family at her side. She was born on July 26, 1921 in Herkimer, New York a daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (Darpski) Wystozaly and was a graduate of Sauquoit Valley Central School. She married Raymond Bibik in Utica in 1943 and shared that union until his death in 1969. She later married Kenneth Cable in Vienna, NY in 1971 and shared that union until his death in 1976. Josephine enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and friends. She was a former member of the Rome Moose Lodge for over 26 years and was a member of the Point Rock Fish and Game Club. Surviving are two daughters and two sons-in-law, Patricia (Robert) Jones of Blossvale and Linda (John) Mills of Zephyrhills, FL, three sons and two daughters-in-law, John Bibik of Oneida, Raymond (Kay) Bibik of Canastota and Robert (Ellyn) Bibik of Verona, several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Josephine was predeceased by three brothers, Victor Wysluzaly and Jack and Ernest Wystozaly and one sister Clara Wysluzaly. Family and friends are invited to attend a mass of Christian Burial on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family Church, Peterboro Street, Vernon. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. in the entrance of the church prior to the mass.
