Obituary of Bobbi M. Willson

Verona-Bobbi M. Willson, age 68, of State Rt. 31 passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening August 5, 2023 at her home. She was born on August 16, 1954 in Utica, New York daughter of the late Robert W. and Erma (Seniff) Thomas. Bobbi was a graduate of Whitesboro High School and earned her Master's degree in English from Syracuse University at Utica College. Mrs. Willson taught tenth and eleventh grade English at Sauquoit Valley Central School for over thirty-three years retiring in 2012. On March 10, 1980 Bobbi and Gilbert R. Willson were united in marriage in New London, New York and the couple has shared that vow of over forty-three years together. Bobbi had an extensive library and in her spare time she enjoyed reading. Some favorite authors were John Steinbeck and Elie Wiesel. She also loved sewing and spending time at the family camp on Kyser Beach, Oneida Lake. Surviving is her husband Gilbert R. "Gil" Willson of Verona, three sons and their spouses, Leif (Huyen-Trang Le) Willson of Marcy, Robert Birch (Lindsay) Willson of Oneida and Luke (Kristen) Willson of Sauquoit, eight beloved grandchildren, Kaylee, Ryan, Trinh, Beckett, Norah, Helena, Journey and Nolan. Bobbi was predeceased by her parents. Friends are invited to visit the family on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 front Street, Vernon, NY.
