Oriskany Falls- Warner E. Leuenberger Jr., age 82, a longtime local dairy farmer passed away early Monday morning November 13, 2023 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on December 26, 1940 in Rome, New York a son of the late Warner Sr. And Helen J. (Marcellus) Leuenberger. Warner attended Rome schools and graduated from Madison Central School and Morrisville Ag & Tech.
On November 9, 1985 Warner and Donna M. Jeschawitz were united in marriage at Dibble's Inn in Vernon and have shared that vow of over thirty-eight years together.
Prior to his retirement due to a stroke Warner was the proud operator of his dairy farm in Oriskany Falls.
Surviving is his wife Donna, his four children and their spouses, John (Darlene) Leuenberger of Morrisville, Brian Leuenberger (Nicole Bryant) of Oriskany Falls, Bonnie Knutti of Deansboro and Lisa (Bernard) Brouillette of Oriskany Falls, 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Carol Leuenberger of Vernon and many nieces and nephews and his canine protector Noodles.
Warner was predeceased by his son Terry Leuenberger, son-in-law Ted Knutti, brother Roy Leuenberger, sister Esther Worden and brother-in-law, Lawrence Worden.
The family wishes to thank Warner's caregivers, Darlene, Wendy and Kim who were always there to give Warner the greatest care in his home.
