Obituary of John H. Legvold

Vernon-New Smyrna FL-John H. Legvold, age 82, of Judson Drive, husband of Connie L. Wingard passed away Thursday evening December 7, 2023 in the Oneida Health Care emergency room after being stricken ill at his home after a lengthy illness. John was born on May 6, 1941 in Minneapolis, Minnesota a son of the late Herman and Edith (Auth) Legvold and was a graduate of Boone High School of Orlando, Fl and went on to graduate from DeVry Institute with a degree in business. On October 5, 1984 John and Connie L. Wingard were united in marriage in Daytona Beach, Florida and have shared that vow of over thirty-nine years together. The couple shared their time between Vernon and New Smyrna Beach Florida where John enjoyed time on his fishing boat in the ocean and golfing every Wednesday with his friends. John started his working career with David Wehr as partners of Modern Business Machines in Orlando, Fl and the business had repair contracts with General Electric with the partnership lasting for over twenty years. After that business John along with his wife owned and operated Cibu Business Machines and Office Supply and Repair in New Smyrna, Florida before he retiring on January 1, 2004. Surviving is his wife, Connie L. (Wingard) Legvold of Vernon, two sons, Thomas (Joni) Legvold of Ocoee, Fl and David Legvold also of Ocoee, Fl, two daughters, Judy Tomlinson of Ormond, FL, and Lori Weir of Ormond, FL, one brother Richard Legvold of Corpus Christi, Fl, one grandson Taylor Legvold, brother-in-law Ralph Jr. (Wanda) Wingard of Wendell, NC. John was predeceased by his parents, one brother, Jodi Legvold, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph and Helen Wingard.
