Obituary of Anthony L. Otto

Rome-Anthony Lucian Otto, age 57, of Old Oneida Road passed away late Friday evening August 2, 2024 in Rome Healthcare after being stricken ill at his home.

  He was born on July 26, 1967 in Oneida, New York a son of Anthony and Barbara (Vanderlan) Otto. Tony was a graduate of the Vernon Verona Sherrill Schools and received his associates degree in business.

  Tony enjoyed listening to music, watching movies and going to concerts.

  Surviving are his parents, John and Barbara Destito, his siblings and their spouses, W. B. (Shelby) Vanderlan, Stephen (Christine) Otto, Kristin Otto, Beth (Larry) Franklin and Anthony Destito and several nieces and nephews.

  Tony was predeceased by his father Anthony Otto, his maternal grandparents, Harold and Ruth Vanderlan and a special uncle Nathan Vanderlan.

  The family would like to express a special thank you to the DDSO staff for their excellent care they provided for Tony. 

  Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home, 464 Sherrill Rd., Sherrill, NY. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Middle Road, Oneida, NY.
