Obituary of Alberta M. Carman

Alberta M. Carman Marcy-Alberta M. Carman, age 88, of State Rt. 291 passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon, November 16, 2014 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born on March 31, 1926 in Peekskill, New York a daughter of the late George A. and Marion (Myers) Russell and was a graduate of Peekskill High School. In 1951 Alberta and William Carman were united in marriage in Elmira, New York and the couple shared that loving union until Mr. Carman's death in 1994. Alberta was a devoted wife who enjoyed sewing, especially dress making and tending to her flower gardens. Surviving is one brother, George W. Russell of Marcy, and many nephews and nieces including Brenda who was her caregiver for the past couple of years. Alberta was predeceased by three sisters, Marion, Verna and Marjorie, her parents and her husband. In keeping with Alberta's wishes there will be no public calling hours or funeral services.
